Free Online Sleep Webinar for World Sleep Day.

On the 19th of March, it is World Sleep Day. “Regular Sleep, Healthy Future”.

Sleep is intimately linked with mental health for both adults and children. As a society, we consistently undervalue the need for deep and regular sleep ( 7-8 hours in adults). It is JUST AS IMPORTANT AS EXERCISE AND DIET. In children, poor sleep is associated with low mood and difficulty controlling emotions, and lack of achievement in school – partly as a result of not being able to concentrate.  We also know that stress during the Pandemic has affected sleep in children and adults. I am passionate about everyone having a good night’s sleep. Join me on World Sleep Day for a one-hour presentation and thirty minutes for questions to share. Suitable for parents with children ages 4 onwards. This is good for you too!

  • How to address your child’s nighttime fears and anxieties? ( Your child will struggle/ resist going to bed if you have not addressed their fears).
  • How diet and screens may affect their sleep?
  • What to do if your child resists going to bed sleep and suffers from night awakenings and nightmares?
  • How to implement a consistent bedtime routine that can last throughout their development?.
  • How to work with ( not against) your child to help everyone have a good night’s sleep with evidence-based techniques?.
  • Time for questions via chatbox.

A zoom webinar means you can see me and hear me but you can remain private. I can’t see or hear you. However, you can communicate with me by asking questions via chatbox. It is not as interactive as Zoom Groups.

About Me.

I am a parent and shared all the joys, up and downs from baby to adulthood. We survived all my mistakes to reach a place of compassion and deep connection. Combining motherhood with working hasn’t always been easy. However, the parents and children who let me into their lives during my 31 years in the NHS have been some of my greatest teachers. It was an honour and continues to be.

Up until two years ago, I worked in CAMHS ( In and outpatient Services)  with children and families with complex emotional and behavioural issues. I worked with children with complex sleep difficulties. In addition, I offered multi-agency consultations with Paediatricians, Social Workers, Health Visitors, and Teachers. I am also a trained facilitator in two evidenced based parenting courses, the Incredible Years and the Solihull Approach. My workshops integrate all my life experiences.
